The Lure Burger

The Lure Burger   This burger is tremendously tasty! Don't forget, you can substitute ground turkey for the ground beef!



1 1/2    Pounds ground beef

4    Tablespoons Dijon mustard

Burger buns ( toasted if desired)

Thinly sliced dill pickle




Caramelized Onion and Bacon Jam

1/4   Cup canola oil

4   Cups diced white onoin

1   Pound bacon




Lure Secret Sauce

2   Cups ketchup

2   Cups mayonaise

2   Tablespoons red wine vinegar

1   Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce


Make Burger Thoroughly mix together the burger (or turkey), mustard, salt and pepper.  Make four patties and grill over high heat for 5-6 minutes each side for medium.  Add some cheese to the burgers durring the last two minutes on the grill if desired.


Make the Jam : 1)  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  2)  When oven is to temperature place bacon on a sheet pan and bake until it is good and crispy.  About 30 minutes.  Let bacon cool and chop it finely.  3)  In a saute pan over medium heat, cook onions in oil until caramelized.  Season with salt and pepper.  4)  In a mixing bowl, combine onions and bacon and let stand.



Make Lure Sauce :  In alarge mixing bowl, combine ingredients and mix until uniform in color.



Build the Burger :  Assemble as desired.
